Senator Scott Wiener represents San Francisco and northern San Mateo County in the California State Senate. Elected in 2016, Senator Wiener focuses extensively on housing, transportation, civil rights, criminal justice reform, clean energy, and alleviating poverty. He chairs the Senate Housing Committee. Before being elected to the Senate, Senator Wiener served as a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, and chaired the San Francisco County Transportation Authority. Before being elected to office, Senator Wiener practiced law for 15 years, including nearly a decade as a Deputy City Attorney in the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office. He received degrees from Duke University and Harvard Law School.

Daniel Adams is the Deputy Director for Housing at the SF Mayor's Office of Housing and Community Development (MOHCD) where he oversees the agency's new construction pipeline, acquisition and preservation work, and affordable housing policy-making and legislative affairs. Prior to joining MOHCD, Dan served as a Director of Housing Development at BRIDGE Housing in San Francisco, and MidPen Housing, based in Oakland. A licensed architect, Dan holds a Masters of Architecture from the University of California, and a BA from the University of Texas.

Emily Hamilton is a Research Fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. Her research focuses on urban economics and land-use policy. Hamilton has authored numerous academic articles and policy papers. Her writing has appeared in USA Today, the Christian Science Monitor, Economic Affairs, and the Philadelphia Inquirer. She contributes to the blog Market Urbanism. Hamilton is a PhD candidate in economics at George Mason University. She is an alumna of the Mercatus Center’s MA Fellowship at George Mason University. She received her BA in economics from Goucher College.
